Anas Tangi is an Italian music producer and deejay, with Moroccan roots.
Unlike many artists who began their careers as independent musicians hoping to get signed one day, he grows through an unusual route.
With such commitment and passion Anas managed to convince four different labels at the age of eighteen. Working for producers from Italy, Belgium, France, Germany and USA he became well known everywhere in his genre of music and gained lots of bookings around Europe, however after a few years he decided to start working on his own business.

His music is a passionately committed work made for the people on the dance-floor. Since his childhood he showed interest in European 80’s pop and focused his attention toward the keyboards. He joined the club music scene in the early 90's and every experience for him was so emotional that he felt the need to share it with others.
In 1994 he began investing in records and deejay equipment, and two years later he was officially known as “Dj Anas” as they called him in his area.
Buying records and carrying his own equipment from house to house, from club to club for free in exchange for a good time: that was his plan. He understood that the only way to share that musical feeling with others who can't attend the events, is to bring the club music closer to them, whether they wanted to party in their houses or in those small clubs where the music was only played from the radio.
Before 1996 he was still playing Euro-Dance and Progressive House, already popular on almost every radio station, but he got much more attention when he proposed a new musical genre called “Hardcore”.
The music was influencing him so much that playing the records was not enough for him. He developed ideas that he wanted to share, so the next step was to make his own music.
With a computer, basic set-up and an Internet connection he began to work with trackers and the early virtual studio technology (VST). As soon as he discovered the Internet and the VST he was firmly convinced that the future of the electronic music was there. He also used to import a German magazine called “Keys” which gave him a lot of news about the electronic music business.
Working with a software called "Tracker” (later with Cubase) and his collection of audio samples he began to write songs with the purpose of playing them at the parties. He didn't consider making his own records until some of his friends like his tracks and encouraged him to send his demo's.
Some studios in Milan would invite him and discuss his project in details, but they would always have something to say about the audio quality of his music which of course couldn’t be compared to a product made with analogue machines.
“I can’t stop making music only because I can’t afford expensive studio equipments, but I’m happy with the VST and sooner things will get better” and this is a resume of what he constantly repeated to deejays, producers and friends.
He saw opportunities and a big potential in the Internet and the virtual studio technology around 1996, so instead of buying analogue machines he preferred to invest in the world wide web and audio software’s when the competitions were almost absent and the prices were very high. He then proved that it is indeed possible to reach the standard of the productions with no hardware at all.
By the end of 1999 his first record appeared on a well known store for deejays (Deejay Choice) in his town (Brescia) and later a friend told him by email that he saw a copy exposed at the Midtown in Amsterdam!
During the following two years he gained much more attention from other labels, so he took the opportunity to release more record and finally begin to play around the clubs in Europe. less

After having good success with with our first song, we decided to continue recording. We came together for a jam session, and in one night recorded our album, "Sprawled Out Into Little Shapes," which included some of our biggest hits, such as, "Breakfast at BurgerKing," and "18 and Over." Afterwards, we decided we would record a second album, but this time, we would take it slower, so as to produce better quality music. In May 2011, the band was again given the opportunity to record a song for a school project. The band got together, and recorded "Abscissa" using GarageBand. Daytime Atlantic is still in the process of recording their new album, but dont fret, theyre almost done, so look out for it soon. less

Jochem Paap is the Rotterdam artist Speedy J, early on in his career he was given the moniker to note his adept skills in his DJ performances. He is unanimously considered to be one of the first techno producers to come from the Benelux. Together with people like Laurent Garnier, Aphex Twin and Richie Hawtin he helped in pushing the genre on just after it had escaped the Detroit delivery room.
