Her passion for music started when she began playing violin at the age of 2. As a teen, she moved to Kona, Hawaii to spend time with her grandfather, Bob Moreno. An established musician, Bob guided and encouraged her as she developed her piano, guitar, and vocal skills. Over the following years, she moved to Los Angeles and became both a successful artist and an accomplished songwriter. In 2008, Alissa’s debut album, “In Your Wake,” was released on her own label, Pi Records. It has already sold over 10,000 copies. A music video called "Kingdom of the Sea", written, composed and performed by Cindy and produced by her brother Bob Hite earned them two Florida Emmy Awards in 1989. It aired as a special feature on NBC's affiliate, WFLA Tampa.
