In 1997, Bill Cosby began publishing a series of books for children age six to ten with Scholastic. The Brokaw Company immediately recognized that these were special books with important and entertaining stories for children. This firm belief led to obtaining their selection as an Oprah Book of the Month Club for December 1997 and sales are now approaching three million units. The Brokaw Company also believed that the books would translate quite effectively into children's programming and were able to sell them as a series to Nickelodeon. We were founded in the mid 80's as a non-profit children's theatre. Quickly we morphed into the pioneer act The Pink Flamingos, a legend in the Entertainment Industry. Clients began consulting us about their entertainment needs, asking for advice with other acts- who to hire, how to handle the procedure. Without our even realizing it we became known as the "Entertainment Solutions People".
Here is what we learned early on- Entertainment is not just a predetermined formula to be followed by rote. It is a process of matching, surpassing and ultimately giving back the energy generated by an audience in such a way that everybody feels more “alive.”
Each event, like each audience, is unique. The challenge, in short, is to recognize the dynamic within each audience and transform each event to the best it can be.
