While searching for a bassist for their first band, Lily's Si... moreThe California quartet Waiting 4 Wyatt started off as the brainchild of sisters Lucy Levinsohn (vocals) and Anya Boyer (keyboards/vocals). While searching for a bassist for their first band, Lily's Siren, the girls found a kindred spirit in Billy Berman (formally of Liquid Zu). Berman brought some songwriting muscle into the group, and soon the band was heading into new musical territory. The group changed its name to Waiting 4 Wyatt and spent much of 2003-2005 honing a new sound. Guitarist Brian Stewart joined in 2005 and Waiting 4 Wyatt entered L.A.'s Shut Up and Play studios to record their debut CD, What Are You Waiting 4? Favorable reviews and industry interest led to some advantageous song placements -- most notably "More Than Myself"'s featured airing on MTV's Meet the Barkers. less

So why not recruit you, the fans, to help us determine what music makes... moreOur A&R Department realizes that the ultimate judge of the artists we sign and the songs we choose for those artists is YOU! So why not recruit you, the fans, to help us determine what music makes it into the stores and onto the radio. Now, you can now be the judge. We want to know your opinions about our artists and their songs. Hopefully with your help we’ll be better equipped to choose the artists you like as well as the songs you like. The cool thing about this is you get a glimpse of what it is like to be an A&R rep at a record label. You will be an integral part of the actual record-making process by helping us with your opinions about the choices we face everyday.
How do you go about doing this?
There will be times when we will play you demos to find out which songs you like and which songs you don’t like. At these times, it’s strictly about your opinion of the song itself, with no regards to the vocalist, or what particular artist might perform it. Then, there will be times where we may need your ears to help us pick the best single for a particular artist. Imagine being part of a process wherein you hear a song from its inception (demo) and later hear the finished track of the same song sung by your favorite Warner Bros. artist. Lastly, you will be able to vote on which song makes it to your radio station! Sign up today and join our team.
