After realising how many good artists were out there, who'd ne... moreI am a 16 year old singer-songwriter, born in Leighton Hospital, Crewe, and raised in the small town of Winsford, Cheshire. I've always been interested in music from a young age, telling my parents that I hoped to become a famous singer. After realising how many good artists were out there, who'd never made it into the music industry, I decided to move on and try find myself a new hobby. It was then that I took up gymnastics, another ambition I'd had for a while. As well as being taught gymnastics, I began training in contortion as well. I'd spend a few hours a week at the gym doing my gymnastics and then I'd come home and teach myself contortion. I wanted to be just like Irina Kazakova. She become my new inspiration. I loved how she could bend into any shape possible and I wanted to be able to do the same. However, although I was doing well in my gymnastics, placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in several competitions, I never forgot about my passion for music, and soon enough, decided to continue with it. After 4 or 5 years, I quit my gymnastics club and decided to become more focussed on my music. Since leaving gymnastics, I have gone on to perform at pubs and festivals, performing all original songs that I have written myself. I learnt to play the guitar at school, from the amazing Paul Whitehead and started to take singing lessons from the fabulous Chris Cragg. I taught myself to play piano, although my dad taught me a few little tunes when I was a little kid! My ambition is to become a famous musician and put on concerts all over the world, although I'm happy enough performing around my home town! I do hope to start getting gigs and recording albums in the future, and with your support and encouragement, I'm sure I'll be able to! less
