Rabbi Shai has recorded and produced three children's albums. He also recorded an exclusive contemporary adult Jewish album ("Ma Tovu - songs for Shabbat") with Artemis records. Rabbi Shai 's provocative Dance/Club version of the famous Jewish prayer "Avinu Malkeinu," has raised quite a few eye brows around the world. Rabbi Shai draws upon many influences, but has a unique energy and appeals to a wide range of audiences, of all ages. Rabbi Shai's education spans the gamut: Israeli public school, and the prestigious King David High School in Manchester England, He holds an MA ed from Prescott College in Arizona, Judaic Studies and Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on the Expressive Arts and Cantorial studies. Rabbi Shai comes from a long line of Rabbis (including the Maharal of Prague), Cantors and Educators. He received his smicha (ordination) as a Rabbi at Rabbinical Seminary International after completing a course of study with Rabbi Joseph H. Gelberman in New York City. He also holds a Pastoral counseling and Theology Awareness certification, and is a member of the International Federation of Rabbi's. less
